My name is Ms. Ann Gilman. I am the administrator and CEO for Amazing Beginnings, Eagan Montessori Academy North and Eagan Montessori South schools.
My husband, Dr. Phil, and I have been married for 35 years and have two children. We have been living in Eagan for the past 20 years.
I first started working with Eagan Montessori about 13 years ago. I really enjoyed my work in the new career that I had chosen after working with my husband in his Chiropractic office for almost 20 years. So much so, that I decided to open a second school in 2009, Amazing Beginnings Montessori. Then again in 2016 I opened Eagan Montessori South.
As a child growing up in Sri-Lanka, I attended Montessori school and still remember some of my favorite Montessori activities. All my siblings attended Montessori schools in Sri-Lanka and they are all very successful adults in their chosen fields. I experienced firsthand the power of a good Montessori education.
Even the founders of Google credited their success to their “Montessori experience,” in an interview they did with Barbra Walters.
I am in this profession because I feel that our children are the future of the world, and I want to be a part of shaping that future. I do not take this job lightly.
I take it upon myself, to travel to different states and foreign countries to visit other preschools and understand how different programs work. This experience helps me to incorporate the best of what I learn to make our schools the best they can be.
I look forward to getting to know all the parents and the students that attend all of my schools. My fervent prayer is that all the children who go through our schools will become wonderful, kind, loving and smart adults that will make amazing contributions to society, just because they spent their formative years at one of my Montessori schools.
Ms. Ruchika Verma is the regional director of Eagan Montessori Academy and Amazing Beginnings Montessori schools.
My name is Ms. Ruchika Verma. I have been the lead Kindergarten teacher at Eagan Montessori for the last 9 years, and am also the Center Director. I recently received a promotion as the regional director for all three of our Montessori schools. I was born in India. My mother was the principal of a public school and always instilled in us the importance of a good education. I did my studies up to high school in a convent school considered one of the best in India. After I graduated from high school I worked in a pre-school. After that I went on to Meerut University in India to get myBachelors degree in Commerce/Economics. Later on I also got my two year diploma in Computer Science.
In 1995 I got married and came to the US with my husband. We have two children and we live in Eagan. While I was a stay-at-home mom, I volunteered at Pilot Knob Elementary school for one year. While I was there I felt that my true calling was to work with children. I went on to work at Beck's Montessori school for four years and completed my Montessori teacher training program. I have also worked at the Goddard's pre-school for two years. Then I got the opportunity to join Eagan Montessori and I love it here.
I now have my Masters Degree in Education, and my director's certification from MNAEYC. I also have a Montessori certification from NAMCanda certification in the S.M.A.R.T. program. I teach Bollywood dance and have taken dance kids to professional performances. I also teach dance at Eagan Montessori. I have been in this profession for 17 years, and I could not have a more rewarding career. I enjoy teaching my great students with awesome colleagues. We are not just a school here; we are a happy family with happy children. It makes my day when past students stop by to see me - which happens very often!
Ms. Bencey, Director, Eagan Montessori Academy.
My name is Bencey William Roy. I came to live in MN with my husband and 3 children several years ago. My children are attending universities in MN. I completed my bachelor’s degree in science with zoology as my major. I harbor a passion for teaching which led me to complete my bachelor’s degree in education from a well-recognized university in India.
I achieved a diploma in early childhood education that helps me in understanding the potential of individual students and to act efficiently towards their all-round development. I have worked with leading institutions in India as a teacher for 10 years where I was in constant contact with children of different age groups. I believe that the biggest achievement for a teacher is to see the students climb the ladder of success.
For the last 12 years, before migrating to the US, I had been in school administration where I worked as a school principal. This experience has helped me to gain an understanding of the thought process of children and prepare a curriculum that will enhance their academic growth. I strongly believe that a teacher is a role model for her students. I try to instill good behaviors and a responsible nature in each of my students.
As a teacher that has experienced various learning environments, I feel extremely fortunate to work at Eagan Montessori. The small class size helps me ender personal attention to individual students and contribute towards their improvement, achievement, and success. “Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.”
Ms. Lauren is the Preschool Lead Teacher at Eagan Montessori North and Assistant Director.

I have eagerly worked my way up starting from an aide to now having my own room as the Lead Preschool Teacher and as Assistant Director.
I have learned a lot through first hand experiences and from my director, Ms. Ruchika mentoring me. I was born and raised in South Saint Paul. I went on to continue my education at Inver Hills Community College and graduated with my associate's degree in the spring of 2013.
I really love working with children and it has been an honor to get to know each and every child here at Eagan Montessori Academy North. I am excited to also meet new children in the future and help become a part of their daily learning. To watch a child grow is one of the most amazing experiences of being a teacher. I really enjoy working here at Eagan Montessori. It is a very positive and encouraging environment to work at and I look forward to coming to work every single day.

I am fortunate to work with wonderful teachers and my amazing director who helps me to become better at my job every day. I feel proud to be a part of the Eagan Montessori Academy family.
